Hannah Rickett, WHNP

Hannah Rickett, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, spent her high school years in Harrisonburg, Louisiana and graduated valedictorian of Harrisonburg High School in 2013. She moved to Lafayette after graduation to begin attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she began her nursing studies. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UL in 2017. Immediately following graduation, Hannah began her nursing career at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center on the Mother Baby unit where she worked as an RN for over six years.

She excelled in maternal and newborn care as an RN and knew she had a desire to further her education. This desire to increase her knowledge and create a positive influence in women’s healthcare led Hannah to pursue an advanced degree at the University of South Alabama. She graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing degree as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in December of 2023.

Hannah and her husband Max have both adopted Lafayette as their forever home. They welcomed their first child, Cecilia, in 2022 with the help from our very own Dr. Alleyn. They will also be welcoming their second child in the summer of 2024. They enjoy spending time with friends and family and experiencing the rich Acadian culture through local events, restaurants, and festivals.

Hannah has a passion for evidence-based practice, patient education, and strives daily to further her expertise in obstetrics and gynecological care with our valued providers. Hannah is an active member of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).

Taylor Breaux, WHNP

Taylor Breaux, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, is a native of Lafayette and a graduate of Saint Thomas More Catholic High School class of 2006. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with honors, from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2010. After practicing as an OB/GYN clinic nurse for 12 years, she furthered her education and received a Master of Science in Nursing degree as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama, with honors, in 2022. She and her husband, Chris, have three children, James, Elliott, and Parker.

Taylor has spent her nursing career working as a Registered Nurse in the Mother Baby Unit at Lafayette General Medical Center and the last ten years as Dr. Pugliese’s clinic nurse in which she previously served as Clinical Supervisor at Southern OBGYN. She is a Board Certified WHNP who has always had a tremendous passion for women’s health along with evidence-based practice standards, holistic patient care, and patient education.

Taylor was recently inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi and Sigma Theta Tau honor societies which recognizes honor students for future professional leadership and development. Lastly, she is an active member in professional organizations including Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).

Jennifer Breaux Pugliese, M.D.

Jennifer Breaux Pugliese, MD is a native of Lafayette. She and her husband, Craig, have four children: Lila, Clara, Luca and Ellis. Dr. Pugliese enjoys the privilege of raising her family and practicing medicine where she was also born and raised. She comes from a family of Lafayette physicians including her grandfather, father and brother.

Dr. Pugliese graduated from St Thomas More Catholic High School in 1995. She received her undergraduate education at LSU in Baton Rouge where she graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. She then earned her medical doctorate in 2005 from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans.

Dr. Pugliese completed her OB-GYN training at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, where she earned the “E. Daniel Griffin, JR, MD Award” for surgical excellence. During her training she obtained broad exposure in obstetrical care ranging from routine to high risk. She also gained comprehensive training in gynecological care including diagnosis and management of a wide range of conditions. Additionally, she is extensively trained in minimally invasive procedures, including laparoscopic and robotic surgery. She has been board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2011.

She has previously served as the Chairperson of the Women’s Services Department at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Nicole Pino Harper, M.D.

Dr. Nicole Pino Harper, M.D. is a native to South Louisiana, growing up in Baton Rouge with ties to Acadiana. She and her husband, Guy, have three children, Cappel, Evans, and Guy. They enjoy spending time outdoors, exercising and trying new restaurants.

Dr. Harper graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Baton Rouge in 2000. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University in 2004. She then attended American University of the Caribbean, earning her doctorate of medicine in 2009.

Dr. Harper then completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans, where she earned the award for best Grand Rounds for her presentation, “Understanding the Option of Adoption”. In addition she received the Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Surgery Award. Her training including exposure to both routine and high risk obstetrical and gynecological care. She obtained an extensive skill set including minimally invasive surgical technique. She has been board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2015.

Amanda Lemoine Alleyn, M.D.

Dr. Amanda Lemoine Alleyn, M.D. is a native of Avoyelles Parish. She and her husband, Ed, have two children, William and Caroline. They are delighted to have settled in Lafayette where they love experimenting with new recipes, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying local music and events.

Dr. Alleyn graduated from St. Joseph School in 1999. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Louisiana State University in 2003. She then attended LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans where she earned her doctorate of medicine in 2009.

Dr. Alleyn then trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology at LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans, where she served as Chief Resident. She received the Excellence in Laparoscopic Surgery award and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. During her training she participated in both routine and high risk obstetrical and gynecological care, obtaining thorough knowledge and practice in minimally invasive surgical technique. She has been board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2015.

She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Department of Women’s Services at Lafayette General Medical Center. Dr. Alleyn is also a board member for Maddie’s Footprints, a local nonprofit organization that provides emotional and financial support for families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss.

Aundria Cannon, WHNP

Aundria Cannon, WHNP is a native of Lafayette and a graduate of St. Thomas More High School class of 1993. She graduated from The University of Southwestern Louisiana with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 1998. She received a Masters of Nursing Degree from the University of South Alabama in 2015. She is married to Marty Cannon, and they have 3 boys; Cameron, Wade and Brandon.

Aundria has spent most of her career as a Registered Nurse (RN) working in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother Baby care units. She also worked in the role of Nursing Educator, Childbirth Educator, Perinatal Bereavement Coordinator, and Nursing Supervisor at Lafayette General Medical Center. She has been a Board-Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner since 2014. She has always had a passion for patient education and strives to incorporate this into the care of each individual patient in the office setting.

Aundria is an active board member of Maddie’s Footprints, a local non- profit organization whose mission is to provide resources for families who have experienced the loss of an infant.

Aundria is a member of the following professional organizations: Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners (LANP); Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH); Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
