Hannah Rickett, WHNP
Hannah Rickett, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, spent her high school years in Harrisonburg, Louisiana and graduated valedictorian of Harrisonburg High School in 2013. She moved to Lafayette after graduation to begin attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she began her nursing studies. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UL in 2017. Immediately following graduation, Hannah began her nursing career at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center on the Mother Baby unit where she worked as an RN for over six years.
She excelled in maternal and newborn care as an RN and knew she had a desire to further her education. This desire to increase her knowledge and create a positive influence in women’s healthcare led Hannah to pursue an advanced degree at the University of South Alabama. She graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing degree as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in December of 2023.
Hannah and her husband Max have both adopted Lafayette as their forever home. They welcomed their first child, Cecilia, in 2022 with the help from our very own Dr. Alleyn. They will also be welcoming their second child in the summer of 2024. They enjoy spending time with friends and family and experiencing the rich Acadian culture through local events, restaurants, and festivals.
Hannah has a passion for evidence-based practice, patient education, and strives daily to further her expertise in obstetrics and gynecological care with our valued providers. Hannah is an active member of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).
